Beauregard Creative Arts Therapy, PLLC

About Mark

Mark Beauregard, RDT-BCT, LCAT, (he/him) is the founder and supervising clinician of Beauregard Creative Arts Therapy PLLC. He is a registered drama therapist, board certified trainer, and licensed creative arts therapist with over twenty years of experience in mental health working with people of all ages and backgrounds, throughout New York City. Mark is a faculty member at New York University where he teaches a course on improv and mental health, aligned with his passion and belief in the healing effects of improvisation. He has held previous faculty positions at Manhattanville College, as well as at Kansas State University, and often guest lectures at many nearby schools. Continuing to grow and develop, as a therapist and person, is important to Mark. Currently, he is pursuing training in Attachment Focused EMDR (AF-EMDR) through the Parnell Institute.

Mark is a warm, passionate and astute clinician, using creative interventions to support and encourage real change. The arts and drama are powerful forms of self-expression. Using metaphor, story, play, and dramatic improvisation to go beyond just talking, people are able to access new parts of themselves and take action in their lives. He has helped children and adults work through numerous issues during his career.

In addition to his therapy work, Mark is a published author, specializing in gender and sexuality affirmative psychotherapy across all ages. He frequently teaches and provides trainings on the use of creative arts therapy with LGBTQ+ and gender-expansive individuals and their families. He is passionate about creating a safe, creative and affirming space for his clients, both in the office and more importantly within themselves.
