About Daisy

Daisy (Anqi) Cai (she/her) is a Master’s candidate in the Drama Therapy program at New York University. She has a background in comparative literature, psychology, as well as film and theatre. As an international student for almost ten years originally from Beijing, China, Daisy makes it her mission in her work to witness, cherish, and uplift voices that have been suppressed. Daisy has experience working with adolescents as well as older adults, providing support related to their cultural and religious identities.

Daisy is committed to spreading her warmth, compassion, and playfulness in her work as a clinician. She believes that the therapeutic space embraces spontaneity and possibilities, and is a place where all parts of you are invited to tell your stories. In her approach, she integrates dramatic play, embodiment, art-making, and writing to facilitate self expression and exploration.

Daisy also offers services in Mandarin.
